1. Waimea Canyon Trail
The Waimea Canyon Trail provides both adventure and many photo opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. There are several hiking trails for all skill levels in Waimea Canyon so pick the best one for your group and get to hiking! Known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, hikers are greeted with epic views along the 3.4 mile trail. One of Kauai's most popular waterfalls, Waipoo Falls, can be found on this trail. 2. The Napali Coast
For breathtaking views, visit the Napali Coast which is about 90 minutes from Lihue. The Napli coast spans 17 milles along Kauai's North Shore and provides outstanding views by sea and air, but you can also drive to Polihale Beach or Kee Beach to take in the sights of the valleys and cliffs of the coast.
3. Baby Beach in Poipu
For those with littles, Baby Beach in Poipu offers the perfect backdrop for your family photos. 4. Queen's Bath in Princeville
Queen's Bath is a natural tide pool surrounded by igenous rocks and is a favorite among locals and vacationers. To access Queen's Bath, you'll need to hike to the tide pool which takes about 20 minutes. The tide pool is home to small fish, sea urchins, angelfish, and more.This hike is not for everyone as parts near the tide pool can get a little tricky so please use caution when visiting the tide pool.
5. Hanalei Bay
Hanalei Bay is noted as one of the best beaches in Kauai. It is the largest bay on the island and is made up of nearly two miles of beach with spectacular views of the mountains. You can also walk on Hanalei Pier. Bring a water compatible camera and capture your adventures paddle boarding and swimming in Hanalei Bay.
6. Wailua Falls
Wailua Falls is an easily accessible waterfall located north of Lihue. Wailua Falls is made up of two streams with both dropping 80 feet into a pool of water 30 feet deep, below. No hiking is needed to reach the falls so once you reach your destination. The road leading to Wailua Falls is located right after mile marker one on Hwy. 56. On the left you will see a sign for Maalo Road/Hwy. 583 with another sign pointing you in the direction of the falls.
7. Poipu
You won't have to go far for this one on your Kauai vacation! Poipu boasts close to perfect weather year-round and is home to popular beaches. Everywhere you look provides you a photo opp when vacationing in Poipu.
