Warm Temperatures, Fewer Crowds
Fall typically means colder weather, but in Kauai, the weather is warm year-round! There is a higher chance of rain in the fall season, however, rainstorms don't last long so it's still a great time to consider a visit. Temperatures on land range from 70 to 85 and between 70 and 80 in the ocean throughout the year, perfect for taking a dip in the ocean or lounging on the beach with a good book in hand.
Another benefit of visiting Kauai in the fall is the smaller crowds. Many families often travel to Hawaii in the summer and holiday months as kids have time off from school. As school begins to start up in August and September, the brunt of the tourists head back to the mainland and you'll get to experience a slower pace on the island. While Hawaii is a big travel destination and busy year-round, you can expect Kauai to be slightly less busy compared to the summer.
